Nebo School District is proud to support the next generation of veterinary professionals! These high school students Hailey Burton, BrennaLee Williams, Lillian Long, Aliya Jackson, Kenna Feland, Jaisha Christensen and Edie Wilde, are taking their first steps into the world of veterinary science through hands-on internships. They are working side-by-side with skilled veterinarians and technicians learning about animal care, diagnostics, and more. Each day they are gaining valuable insights into the dedication and expertise it takes to care for animals. From observing surgeries and learning about lab diagnostics to understanding preventive care, these students are truly getting a first hand look at what goes into this field. It’s exciting to see them, explore their interest and grow their skills in such a supportive environment. Jocelyn Shuler, a talented high school student, has been bringing creativity and precision to her internship at the SCERA Theater costume shop. From cutting and assembling patterns to adding pom-poms to some very stylish centipede costumes, she’s been hard at work behind the scenes! Her journey to this incredible opportunity includes a mix of theater, art, and CTE classes like Fashion Design and Business Leadership. Jocelyn‘s blend of skills is truly impressive and we can’t wait to see where her passion for design and theater takes her next. These students are interning with physical therapy clinics throughout Utah County. They are learning rehabilitation procedures, exercises and care for a myriad of orthopedic ailments. The Sports Injuries class at their high schools prepped them for this opportunity to see what a career in the physical therapy field is like first hand.
