This past August, we proudly hosted our 10th annual Make a Difference Golf Classic. This fun event brings the Cincinnati community together while raising funds for organizations dedicated to supporting local residents through job readiness, education, and more. On August 8th, we were thrilled to host our third annual Summer Celebration, a joyful gathering that truly embodied the spirit of our Nehemiah family. 🌟 Employee Success Story: April Bennett & Nehemiah Manufacturing 🌟 At Nehemiah Manufacturing, we believe in the transformative power of second chances. Today, we proudly share the inspiring journey of April Bennett, a dedicated member of our team. April's story is one of resilience and redemption. At 40, she found herself trapped in a bad marriage and struggling with addiction. She prayed daily for a better life, and in 2013, those prayers were answered with a six-year prison sentence. While it may sound unusual, April sees this as a turning point where she began her path to recovery. Now, at 52, April celebrates 11 years of sobriety. She has mended relationships she once thought were lost, built a strong support system of family and friends. “Most importantly, I’ve forgiven myself. It took me a long time to do that; I had to realize that although I was stuck in the disease of addiction and made bad choices, that didn't make me a bad person,” April reflects. Released from prison at 46, April worried about finding employment, let alone a career. “Today, I have an amazing career with Nehemiah, who by the way, also happens to be a big part of my support system and family,” April smiles. April’s journey underscores the importance of second chance hiring. We are honored to be part of her story and proud of her accomplishments.
