If there's one thing we can surely affirm, it's that the future is already here, and attendees of the #Pittsburgh NTI Symposium are better prepared and equipped to navigate it! The symposium sessions led by Rachel Hatch and Gabe Cervantes from the Institute for the Future challenged us to embrace strategic foresight and prepare for an uncertain future. We explored signals of change, crafted headlines from the future, and learned how to turn uncertainty into inspiration. 💡 The future is unpredictable, but we can prepare. Signals of change are everywhere. Strategic foresight equips us to anticipate change and build resilience. Rachel Hatch (she/her/hers) shared a quote from Ruha Benjamin that really served as our call to action after the symposium: "Remember to imagine and craft the worlds you cannot live without, just as you dismantle the worlds you cannot live within." #NW45 #CommunityDevelopment Institute for the Future

"Looking Back to Look Forward" was 🔥 at the Pittsburgh #NTI! Our fireside chat dove deep into lessons from the past, the importance of collaboration, and the power of narrative change. Expert panelists like George McCarthy, Maria Garciaz and Don Chen reminded us that we must be visionary and adaptable to ensure an equitable future for all communities. The panelists shared lessons from the past 45 years, emphasizing the need to adapt, collaborate, and reclaim the narrative in order to create a more just and equitable future for all communities. Let's continue the conversation and work together to build a brighter future for all! 💪 #NW45 #CommunityDevelopment

Marietta Rodriguez President & CEO of NeighborWorks America, set the stage for an inspiring symposium during the Pittsburgh #NTI! She urged us to look back to look forward, acknowledging 45 years of impact while addressing today's pressing challenges. Marietta reminded us that community development is about "redrawing the invisible maps of hardship" and creating vibrant pathways of opportunity. Her powerful words left us motivated and ready to tackle the future head-on!
