Creating a healthier future for all children #WellBeyondMedicine

About us

Nemours is committed to improving the health of children. As a non-profit children’s health organization, we consider the health of every child to be a sacred trust. Through family-centered care in our children’s hospitals and clinics in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida, as well as world-changing research, education and advocacy, Nemours fulfills the promise of a healthier tomorrow for all children — even those who may never enter our doors. Nemours began more than 80 years ago with the vision of Alfred I. duPont to improve the lives of children and to do whatever it takes to prevent and treat even the most disabling childhood conditions. Today, through our children’s hospitals and health system, we directly care for 250,000 children annually in Delaware Valley and Florida, including families who travel from across the country and world to see our specialists — treating every child as we would our own. We also reach beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics to be a voice for children on a national and international level, and to lead the way in prevention, intervention, education, and research. Nemours is growing to better serve the children and families in our care. We have 1.1 million square feet of space currently devoted to providing children’s healthcare or under construction, all designed with significant input and advice from our patients and families.

We are proud to announce the expansion of our partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars as their official pediatric partner. Over the next three years, Nemours Children’s Health and the Jaguars will launch the first-ever Jaguars Kids Club, offering exclusive access and events for young fans. We’re also thrilled to have Brian Thomas Jr. and Maason Smith join us as our inaugural NFL brand ambassadors, supporting our mission to improve children's lives on and off the field. Today, the Jaguars had the honor of meeting Elena, who is being treated for leukemia at Nemours. Her mom, Natalie, shared their inspiring story – she’s been cancer free for 17 years after being treated for leukemia at Nemours as a child! This partnership is a testament to our shared mission of making a positive impact in the lives of children like Elena. For more details, visit: https://bit.ly/3ZfGXXT

  • For over a decade, Talkspace has been breaking down barriers to mental health through virtual therapy, asynchronous messaging, psychiatry and AI-assisted tools. Dr. Nikole Benders-Hadi, CMO at Talkspace, highlights how asynchronous therapy – where patients can message their therapist anytime – enhances accessibility and encourages real-time emotional expression, especially for teens. Digital tools like this are transforming the way care is delivered, making mental health support more accessible for those facing stigma or barriers to in-person therapy. At Nemours Children's Health, we're constantly pushing the boundaries of pediatric care. A new study published by the Nemours Children’s osteogenesis imperfecta (Ol) team, challenges previous assumptions about OI, a rare genetic condition often considered fatal before birth. The research suggests that with specialized treatment, many of these children can not only survive—but thrive. That’s exactly what Koa is doing today, thanks to the care he receives at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. His mother, Viana, was once told he wouldn’t make it—but at Nemours, she found a team offering hope and innovative treatments. Watch the CBS News segment to learn more about how Nemours is changing the outlook for children with OI: https://cbsn.ws/4bGnbc4
