Now in the final year of an electrical engineering degree at Georgia Institute of Technology, Christian reflects on the strong foundation built at NeoCity Academy, where he gained exposure to advanced courses, tools, and industry-essential certifications. These experiences helped him receive acceptance into his dream schools and land internships with major companies like Amazon, GE Aerospace, and Northrop Grumman.     Neocity Academy has been recognized for the 2024 AP School Honor Roll at the Platinum level for developing an AP program that creates a college-going culture and gives students opportunities to earn college credit and to maximize their college outcomes. Neocity Academy is also honored with the 2024 AP Access Award for ensuring AP coursework is equally available to students no matter their backgrounds. The three criteria for PLATINUM schools are: • Expand your school's college culture by enabling 80% of your Class of 2025 to experience 1 AP course before graduating. NeoCity Academy had >100% of Class of 2025 students achieve this. • Assist with college affordability by enabling 50% of your Class of 2025 to earn college credit by earning an AP Exam score of 3. NeoCity Academy had 97% of Class of 2025 students achieve this. • Optimize student's college readiness by creating opportunities for 15% of your Class of 2025 to take a total of 5 APs across their high school years, with at least 1 taken in 9th or 10th grade. NeoCity Academy had 100% of Class of 2025 students achieve this.
