International Producers Tour Georgia - Earlier this month, the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers descended on the state for their annual conference. Over 6 days, the peer group held meetings, panels and tours. The conference was hosted by Atlanta-based Mountain View Group, an IQ member for more than 40 years. Next year's gathering will be hosted by a member in Warsaw, Poland. We joined the group after one of their sessions held at the Lux Stage at Trilith Studios. IQ has been around for 59 years and beyond learning about new technology there's a trusting flow of ideas, strategies and information among these owners. Members discuss global distribution and marketing trends and inspire each other by sharing business challenges and creative successes with like-minded leaders. The organization fosters connections that often become collaborations on international co-productions. The group visiting Georgia represented hundreds of millions of dollars in production annually and winners of multiple Oscars, Palme D’or, copious Clio and numerous Cine Golden Eagles.
