About us
The Neponset River Regional Chamber has been serving businesses in the Neponset River region since 1894. Initially known as the Norwood Business Association, then the Norwood Board of Trade, later as the Norwood and Norwood Area Chamber of Commerce, followed by the Neponset Valley Chamber from 1988 until 2019 when we became the Neponset River Regional Chamber, we have continued to serve our members through every economic challenge. Large national corporations make the Neponset River region their home, as well as thousands of small to medium companies. From our award-winning regional economic development and public policy work, to our structured networking and leads groups, our Chamber works hard every day to serve the many constituencies within our 500-plus membership. Industry-specific groups of members, such as our Human Resources Alliance, Elder Care Alliance and Women’s Leadership Alliance allow members to work on projects of mutual interest and benefit. Also, our Government Affairs Committee monitors projects up and down Routes One, 128, and Interstate 95, and all their feeder roadways, while also informing members of legislation that may impact their ability to do business. Chamber members can get involved in a hands-on way, volunteering and serving on the Chamber's action-oriented committees. By working in tandem with our expert staff, they improve member service, facilitate networking meetings, improve Chamber publications and public image, maintain excellent relationships with legislators and other policy makers, and encourage members to network and promote their businesses at major functions. Our Board of Directors is representative of the wide variety of Chamber towns and business categories. President/CEO Thomas J. O' Rourke Financial and Office Manager Denise Flynne

Don't miss ChamberTalks! We've all seen the stories about the high cost of housing in Massachusetts and the outmigration of young talent currently occurring. What does this mean for our communities and businesses? What can be done about it? We've gathered a group of experts to help us understand what's driving these changes and what we can do in our region to remain competitive going forward.

This Boston Globe editorial does a great job of explaining why it's important to vote No on Question 2.
A Boston Globe editorial referring to the results of education reforms that made MA schools the envy of the nation, concludes "By removing the MCAS requirement — without replacing it with any alternative statewide method of ensuring diplomas remain meaningful — Question 2 would put that progress at risk. Education is the core strength of Massachusetts — our workforce, our government, our future — and that is not a risk we can afford to take. The Globe strongly endorses a no vote on Nov. 5." https://lnkd.in/en-UN9sT
