Today we hosted the entire Boston University Women's Soccer team at NESN for a day of networking and career development discussions. As part of the day, the team heard from many of our WON (Women of NESN) members, spanning across departments and career experiences. The panel touched on what it means to be a woman working in sports, as well as NESN's continued efforts to expand diversity internally, and amplify women's sports coverage externally.

Tonight is Women's Celebration Night at Fenway Park and on NESN! We'll have Emma Tiedemann and Rylee Pay in the broadcast booth as the first-ever female duo to call several innings in a Red Sox game, Sophia Jurksztowicz hosting a barrier breaking women's panel, and multiple interviews highlighting notable female voices throughout tonight's broadcast, including our very own Cosmina Schulman, SVP of Digital and Broadcast Partnerships, speaking about her work as our Women of NESN chair.   We are so proud to recognize the incredible group of women behind the scenes tonight that, without them, we would not have the level of quality and support in tonight's historic broadcast. Please join us in celebrating the women listed below, as well as all of WON and our allies!

NESN and Sportsnet Pittsburgh are committed to fostering a workplace where equality is a cornerstone. Today is Women's Equality Day and it is celebrated in the United States to commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits the states and the federal government from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex.    Today we celebrate Women's Equality Day in many ways - firstly by recognizing WON (Women of NESN) and all of the work being done to amplify female voices across platforms, both internally and externally - a new podcast, our social media, our broadcast and so much more!

NESN is excited to welcome Judd Sirott as the new play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins! Judd brings a wealth of broadcasting experience to the team, most recently as the radio voice for the Boston Bruins on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Hear from Judd directly on the opportunity: “This job is unrivaled around the National Hockey League: an Original Six team, in a spectacular hockey market, in one of the premier cities in the country. It’s my honor to be NESN’s new play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins. It will be a privilege to work with Andy Brickley and the NESN production crew, and I’m grateful to the Boston Bruins organization, NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub and many others, for this opportunity.” Read More: https://lnkd.in/eyWZ8s6i
