Q: When Considering an AIOPs solution, do the credentials of the CTO matter ? CTOs play a pivotal role in technology companies, shaping the direction and success of their organizations. Generally, there are two types of CTOs: 1) Sales-Motivated and 2) Technology-Motivated. Understanding the distinction can help AIOps managers make informed decisions. Sales-Motivated CTOs often prioritize sales and revenue generation. Their focus may be more on driving immediate business results rather than long-term technical strategy. While this approach can be effective in the short term, it may lead to a lack of sustained technical leadership. As a result, customers might face challenges as the company's technical direction may not keep pace with industry advancements. It's crucial for AIOps managers to be aware of this dynamic when evaluating potential partners. Technology-Motivated CTOs, on the other hand, are dedicated to ensuring that the company's technical strategy is not only competitive but also ahead of the curve. This type of leadership can be a significant green flag for AIOps managers. A company with a technology-focused CTO is likely to offer innovative solutions and maintain a strong technical foundation, ensuring that customers' investments yield long-term benefits. Evaluating the credentials of a CTO can provide valuable insights into the company's future direction. For instance, CrowdStrike's co-founder and former CTO, Dmitri Alperovitch, set a strong technical foundation that helped the company attract top engineers and grow significantly. A change in leadership to a more sales-focused CTO brought noticeable shifts in the company's trajectory. Look at what happened today July 19 2024. Credentials are not everything, but that is the one source of data that is readily available on the internet that anyone can research in minutes. At NetAI, we believe our success in winning deals against competitors stems from the strong proven technical credentials of our leadership team not marketing. Our commitment to long-term technical excellence resonates with customers looking for reliable and forward-thinking partners. By looking beyond marketing materials and closely examining the background and motivations of a company's CTO, AIOps managers can gain a clearer understanding of the type of partnership they can expect. This due diligence can be a crucial factor in making informed vendor choices that align with long-term goals. Thank you for considering these points as you evaluate your AIOps partnerships.

AIOps: Origins and Navigating the Noise As the AIOps sector expands, it's important to reflect on its origins and understand how to distinguish genuine technological leaders from those simply riding the trend. The journey of AIOps began with pioneers like Guavus, which in 2007, focused on harnessing vast amounts of network data to generate insights—though back then, it was simply referred to as analytics. My early connection with Guavus’ founder, Anukhool Lakhina, is a testament to the deep roots and rich expertise that form the backbone of our industry. His acknowledgment of Dr. Deepak Kakadia, founder of NetAI, in his PhD dissertation [ https://buff.ly/4ckuvcM ], see below, highlights the significant collaborations that have shaped the field. Navigating the noise in AIOps can be challenging, especially for network engineers and managers seeking to differentiate between companies that excel in marketing from those with robust technological foundations. One reliable strategy is to scrutinize the credentials of a company’s founders. In AI, the expertise and background of leadership are critical, as they drive innovation and strategic direction. Companies like Google and Nvidia, founded by engineers with strong credentials, serve as benchmarks for success. Their leadership attracts top talent and fosters an environment where groundbreaking work is the norm. This contrasts starkly with companies like WeWork, where the lack of technical expertise at the helm led to significant challenges. In AI, exceptional engineers are irreplaceable, capable of creating models and optimizations that significantly outperform the collective efforts of less experienced teams. NetAI, founded by seasoned engineers with decades of experience in networking, analytics, and AI, exemplifies this principle. Our leadership’s credentials and deep industry connections ensure that we are not just following trends but are at the forefront of technological advancement. Unlike some larger companies that rely on their brand reputation, our expertise speaks for itself. If you’re interested in learning more about AIOps and our innovative technology, I invite you to stay connected with NetAI. Join us at NetworkX on May 22, 2024, in Irving, TX, where NetAI (formerly NetAnalytics) will be presenting insights for mobile, fiber, and cable network operators. Esteemed operators such as ATT, Verizon, Dish, Telus, T-Mobile, Frontier, and USCellular will be in attendance, making it a prime opportunity for those interested in the latest developments in the industry. At this event, we'll be discussing the advantages of automation using new breakthrough AI technologies, over outsourcing in network operations. With the evolution of AI technology, companies like NetAI are pioneering solutions that offer greater control, cost-efficiency, and quality in managing networks.Traditionally, outsourcing has been a common approach for network operators, but the landscape is shifting. Return on investments (ROIs) now lean towards automation, particularly with the emergence of AI Operations (AIOps). This shift is driven by the realization of the benefits automation offers, including enhanced control and improved https://buff.ly/3yfuKqB of the challenges with outsourcing has been the replacement of skilled engineers with less experienced personnel in an attempt to cut costs. This practice can lead to quality issues and dissatisfaction among clients. Instead of dealing with such challenges, we advocate for empowering existing loyal network operations staff. By investing in their development and leveraging automation tools, companies can maintain quality standards while still achieving cost savings.Join us at NetworkX to explore how embracing automation can transform network operations, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional outsourcing practices. https://buff.ly/3ybeQ0j

LLMs are necessary but insufficient for Network AIOPS At NeurIPS 2017, one of the greatest landmark papers in modern AI was published, titled "Attention is All You Need" by Ashish Vasvani et al. This paper has over 120,910 citations which is astonishing considering all over Einsteins papers sum up to 170,593 citations[according to Google Scholar at time of writing] who is arguably the greatest man ever lived. AI has been around for decades but was more of an academic project. However the Attention Mechanism changed everything because it captures the structural relationships and importance amongst words. This feature alone increased the accuracy of LLMs by enough to make it commercially viable. While at Google I was lucky enough to personally meetup and discuss with Ashish about applications of the Attention Mechanism in networking. It was clear that for networking Attention or LLMs for that matter, is necessary but not sufficient. Networks are about relationships between routers, and links and something more is needed to capture the necessary relationships in order to model networks. This is why NetAI was created, we are figuring out how to create our own NetAI is all you need for AIOps. Please message me direct if you are a Network Operations Engineer or Manager and would like to learn more about our technology and working product.

Rethinking Outsourced Network Operations with Inhouse Automation of Network Operations  Recent Advances in Artificial Intelligence are leading businesses to rethink Outsourcing Network Operations with InHouse Automation using AIOPs. Concerns about service quality and costs are driving the shift towards automation. The integration of AI in network operations streamlines processes and cuts expenses. AI Operations (AIOps) is seen as a solution to staffing challenges, enhancing workforce capabilities without layoffs or outsourcing. Decision-makers are now prioritizing automation to achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage in today's business landscape over outsourcing which has proved to be just exchanging one set of headaches for another with constant bickering and haggling with large outsourcing companies.
