I'm so pleased to announce that Trevor D Sterling, senior partner of Moore Barlow, will be joining me for a fireside chat at The Say Gap #DEI conference next week. Trevor in 2021 made history by becoming the first black senior partner to be elected to a top-100 law firm, and was this year re-elected for a second term. He'll be sharing some of his experiences of climbing the corporate ladder and the importance of positive role models in the workplace. 🎉Celebrating a Milestone: Implementation of Onit & Netdocs! 🎉 I had the privilege of leading an extraordinary team through one of the most complex and ambitious technology implementations in our Legal Department's history. Over the past two years, we’ve worked tirelessly to bring Onit and Netdocs together in a seamless solution that will transform how our legal department operates globally. We were fortunate to have Affinity Consulting Group guiding us through the migration of tens of millions of documents to NetDocuments and customizing a solution that works for our needs. I also want to thank Jennifer Papka for her innovative design and endless patience developing our Onit solutions. We delivered 15 in-person training summits in 7 cities across the US to prepare the department for this change. This dual implementation was no small feat. It required perseverance, innovation, and collaboration from every member of the team. Despite a few challenges, we pushed through and delivered the biggest technical advancement in 20+ years. Implementations of this size require many hands, and with almost 300 people involved, it certainly took a village! To everyone who played a part in this journey: THANK YOU for your unwavering dedication and hard work. Your ability to navigate challenges and adapt to new demands has been truly inspiring. This week in Atlanta at its user conferance, #ndInspire24, NetDocuments made it clear they’re positioning themselves as a one-stop platform for all things related document management. NetDocuments is also attempting to harness GenAI to offer more powerful insights into the internal content of customers—law firms and in-house legal departments. The end result will be GenAI tools doing a lot of work humans may have previously done. This will, in turn pave the way for disruption in how law firms operate, their business model and their culture. The disruption is coming, and many law firms are not talking about it and are woefully unprepared.
