Informative post from our President and CEO.
With the new FCC Rule which requires both wireless and fixed line originating service providers to connect to ESINET providers for delivery of 9-1-1 calls, with those calls being in a VoIP-SIP format, it adds extra importance to the work Netmaker Communications is doing with our DoD and industry partners. As a voting member of the NG9-1-1 Interoperability Task Force technical committee, we are contributing to the future NG9-1-1 Interoperability test a certification requirements. Early work in our lab has already discovered several Interoperability issues with various vendors and their interpretation of the NENA i3 standards. The NG9-1-1 community really is in the same place SIP was in the early 2000s. As a new standard, it will take either industry or the Government to impose an Interoperability profile to establish early Interoperability until the technology providers conform. #NG911
