Last week continued with NETSYNC and Mario Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez gave a great and relatable story for my students. He immigrated from Mexico and brought his skills to the US and found a competitive industry. He mentioned starting and every where he went people all knew Gabriel Sagredo from Insight. He had to make a name for himself and said that him and Gabe are good friends today. This made me realize just how small the IT community in the RGV is, everyone knows everyone else. I've know Gabe for at least 18 years, I've aged he hasnt.... I hope that my students got that piece of information and continue to see how networking helps build a name and reputation. That coming in from another country and struggling with the language barrier is not insurmountable but achievable. Mr. Sanchez is close to being one of the most certified wireless engineers in the area, one of like 550 in the in United States. That's amazing and a powerful lesson to learn. He pushed that same message to the students about the dedication it takes to get these important certs. Again thank you Mario Sanchez and Eric Rodriguez for taking the time and making this happen. See you all later this week when we get a visit from Fortinet.

The school security system landscape NEEDED change. We changed it, here’s the breakdown. We’ve kept it simple with two simple steps to keep the automation flow fast and responsive: Step 1: Catch the event trigger. This could be a panic button, mobile emergency app, or geo-fence alert. Step 2: The system gives you the outputs you need. Door management, light control, alert first responders, speaker announcements, etc. We’ve worked to give you a real-time response when you need it the most.
