Breaking Barriers for Women in Rural Nevada Nevada Women’s Fund is committed to providing rural women with the same opportunities for higher education that their urban counterparts enjoy. We are dedicated to addressing the unique barriers faced in rural areas—such as limited access to education, technology, transportation, and housing—to help strengthen these smaller communities. In addition to educational challenges, rural Nevada is also grappling with diminishing healthcare resources. To combat this, we have funded a significant number of nursing degrees this year, aimed at improving healthcare services in the Elko region. Great Basin College has been an exceptional partner in this initiative, effectively preparing women to meet the region’s healthcare needs. #NWFScholars #EmpoweringAchievement #RuralNevada #Great Basin College
