Megan Shake represented Versiris Energy at #CleanEnergyDay in Saint Paul, meeting with lawmakers to discuss the challenges homeowners and businesses face when investing in #SolarEnergy. She voiced her support for #NetMetering and other key #RenewableEnergy policies that help make clean energy more accessible and affordable. Collaboration between industry leaders and policymakers is crucial for shaping the future of #CleanEnergyPolicy, and we’re proud to be part of the conversation!

New Energy Equity is thrilled to announce our partnership with the Harlem Consolidated School District #122 to deliver a 5.54 MWdc solar energy project in Illinois! Developed by BOW Renewables and acquired by NEE, this project will provide discounted electricity to the school district and residential customers in the #CommonwealthEdison service area. This marks our first initiative in Illinois’ Public Schools Program, part of the state’s #AdjustableBlockProgram (ABP), and will help power 11 schools and over 39,000 students with clean, renewable energy. The U.S. Department of Labor has approved national guidelines for Registered Apprenticeship programs in the solar industry, developed by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Read more: https://lnkd.in/dk4intzY  📰 Solar Power World 

This week was truly exciting for New Energy Equity! Over the last three days, we engaged with nearly 600 students and alumni at career fairs hosted by Howard University, Randolph Macon College, and George Washington University. It's inspiring to witness the growing interest in solar and renewable energy among students and alumni seeking both internships and full-time positions. A big shoutout to our Marketing Associate, Caresse Reid , and our Operations & Maintenance Coordinator, Marco Joseph Chua , for their assistance during these events. At NEE, one of our core values is 'We're All In' which is reflected in our employees supporting each other both in and outside the office! The U.S. solar industry recently witnessed a significant milestone with the opening of ES Foundry's 3-GW silicon solar cell manufacturing facility in Greenwood, South Carolina.
