New Hampshire’s housing crisis can be solved, but it will take new approaches that may upend the way some in the state perceive housing, policy, and their communities, attendees at the 2024 Housing and Economy Conference were told Wednesday. “It’s up to us as Granite Staters to push for real solutions and real progress,” Rob Dapice, CEO of New Hampshire Housing told the audience of more than 300 who’d gathered at the Grappone Center for the agency’s annual flagship event. We look forward to seeing the progress at Bay Street Apartments in Laconia! Upon completion, 12 new units of supportive housing will be available. #NHHousing #TheHousingWeNeed #AffordableHousing
Things are moving right along at Bay Street Apartments. The concrete slab is cured, a new six-inch sewer line has been constructed, and the driveway and parking area are paved. After a lot of site work, the building will finally start to go vertical in the coming days!

When a community is in critical need of housing 🏘, the groundbreaking event for an affordable housing project is especially momentous and meaningful. Vose Farm in Peterborough NH is one of these much-needed affordable housing projects. Phase 1 is new ground-up construction that will deliver 64 apartments reserved for households earning 30-60% of the area median income. Phase 2 will begin construction next year as the adaptive reuse of an existing commercial office building. Phase 2 will deliver 32 more units, further addressing the critical need for affordable housing in the region. Our team celebrated the groundbreaking of this project along with Catholic Charities New Hampshire, New Hampshire Housing, Peterborough select board and committee representatives, Evernorth, Hutter Construction Corporation, Scalora Consulting Group, BLW Engineers, Summit Engineering and GDS Associates, Inc.
