We ask military veterans and national service alumni to consider politics as a way to continue serving the country.
About us
New Politics Leadership Academy is a nonpartisan non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for military veterans and alumni of national service programs, like AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps, to explore political service. Through leadership development, political training, fellowships, networking events and mentorship programs, we lower the barriers to entry and create a new political pipeline for service members who otherwise might not see politics as a way to serve the country, or be able to break into the system. We believe that service leaders are the best problem solvers, "dreamers", and change makers in our nation, and we need their leadership in our politics. By encouraging service leaders to start careers in politics and policy, we believe we can start to transform our politics and revitalize our democracy.
