Today, we unveiled the newly designed Sensory Room at Yankee Stadium, which will be opened for use beginning with ALDS Game 1. The space, located on the 300 Level behind home plate, ensures that every fan can be comfortable enjoying the game 💙 We thank One World Middle School, R.A.I.N., and former NYC Schools Chancellor Dr. Meisha Porter for helping this Sensory Room come to fruition!

Yesterday, the Roberto Clemente traveling photo exhibition “3,000” was unveiled at Macombs Dam Park across the street from Yankee Stadium during a special event attended by Clemente’s son, Roberto Clemente Jr., Yankees senior advisor to baseball operations Omar Minaya, Pittsburgh Pirates manager Derek Shelton, various New York officials, executives from Puerto Rico-based GFR Media, and children from the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. The exhibit is a one-of-a-kind journey through the life and legacy of Clemente, the iconic Hall of Famer, first Latin American Major League player to record 3,000 hits, and beloved humanitarian. The exhibit consists of a historic collection of rare photos of the late Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder and pride of Puerto Rico. Many of the photos from the momentous day, September 30, 1972, when Clemente reached the 3,000-hit milestone, were never previously published. The photos are mounted on 10 bright yellow modules designed to reveal the number 3,000 when seen from a distance. The exhibition — which will be on view in Macombs Dam Park through November 3 (SW corner of E. 161st St. and River Avenue) — was curated by Dennis Rivera Pichardo, Director of Photography at El Nuevo Día, which is owned by GFR Media and is Puerto Rico’s leading newspaper.

On Friday, In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we hosted a group of 80 children from families who have battled with pediatric cancer. Children currently receiving treatment, those in remission, and their siblings took part in a kids-only press conference with Anthony Rizzo, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Marcus Stroman, and Jose Trevino 💛 Afterwards, the families participated in a warning track parade led by Yankees pitcher & cancer survivor, Tim Hill. Additionally, the children took part in Yankee Stadium pregame traditions, including announcing the starting lineups, delivering the lineup cards and game ball.
