  • Checkout our latest blog "I’m Pregnant and My Partner is Abusive" Discovering you’re pregnant can bring up many emotions, and this is more true if you’re in an abusive relationship. It can be a challenging and isolating time, leaving you uncertain about what to do next. The abuse you’re experiencing is not your fault, and you don’t have to face this situation alone. Your safety and the safety of your pregnancy are the top priority. Here’s what to know and do if you think you’re in an abusive relationship. Contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline If you’re feeling unsafe, reaching out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-SAFE) is a critical first step. Trained advocates can help you create a personalized safety plan to protect yourself and your baby. Whether you need a secure place to stay, resources to navigate your situation, or you simply don’t know what to do, they are there to support you confidentially, 24/7. This step could save your life and provide the plan you need to create a safer future. Understand That Pregnancy Doesn’t End Abuse It’s common to hope that a pregnancy will change an abusive partner’s behavior, but unfortunately, this is rarely the case. In some situations, abuse may escalate during pregnancy due to increased stress, jealousy, or attempts to control. Knowing this allows you to prepare and take steps to protect yourself and your pregnancy. Recognize the Signs of Control and Manipulation Abuse often involves subtle or blunt force, manipulation, and control, making it difficult to recognize the true nature of the situation when you’re in the middle of it. If your partner isolates you from family and friends, monitors or controls your finances, or uses threats and intimidation to keep you from leaving, these are clear signs of an unhealthy and dangerous relationship. Over time, these tactics can wear down your confidence and sense of independence, making it harder to see a way out. Recognizing these patterns for what they are is a powerful way to break free and reclaim control over your life and future. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/giYbQnsz

  • Meet our newest staff member! Hello, my name is Gabriela. It is with great pleasure to join New Life as an Adoption Specialist Intern for the San Antonio area. I have been serving as a volunteer in the Pro-life movement since 2022 and have a great passion serving women and babies. I look forward to being a part of an organization that loves like Jesus and meets birth moms where they are. I have been married to my husband Uli for 8 years and we have three children Sofia (6), Sebastian (22 months), and Olivia who we welcomed on January 4th. We spend most of our time homeschooling, spending time at the park, riding our horses, and so much more!

  • Last month God grew 4 families through adoption! 2 baby boys and 2 baby girls went home to their forever families. Please be praying for the birth moms who all have their own unique story. Please pray for these 4 families as they love on these precious ones.
