Prioritizing American democracy requires a long view of politics that goes beyond the news of the day and current election cycle. While others exploit cynicism and tribalism to boast about their superficial impact, we're finding the next generation's most promising transformational leaders, empowering them to run for office, and giving them all the tools they need to succeed. Significant barriers can prevent these individuals from running and winning. New Politics is the only organization that provides comprehensive candidate recruiting, training, and advising.

Since 2013, New Politics has been committed to addressing the broken state of our current political system. We face urgent challenges that require bold action, yet our politics remain stuck in partisanship and gridlock. Our solution is clear: we need more ethical and transformational leaders in elected office. These leaders understand the importance of putting community and country above self. They bring courage, integrity, and empathy to the table—qualities desperately needed in today’s political arena.

Your reason for running can make or break your campaign. It's not just about serving—it's about addressing issues that matter deeply to your community. Here are some pitfalls to avoid when considering a run for office: 1) Running for office solely for personal gain or power can backfire. Voters can see through insincerity. 2) Running because you're bored or lack direction isn't a compelling reason. Your campaign needs purpose and passion. 3) Don't run just because others suggest it. Your candidacy should stem from genuine commitment to your community. 4) Seeking fame or attention isn't a sustainable motivation. Focus on making a positive impact instead. Winning is important, but it shouldn't be your main goal. Running for office requires genuine dedication to serving your community.
