Here’s a touching excerpt from an article celebrating the incredible volunteers and supporters of Life Haven. New Reach's site coordinator shared her insights: “Clients arrive feeling sad and defeated, often seeing themselves as just another number. We strive to create a warm atmosphere with festive decorations and game nights, but this event was truly special.” Harvin noted that although press coverage was restricted for client privacy reasons, the gathering was a success. “When we served families at their tables, you could see them sit up straighter dignity restored,” he remarked. Fresh Starts aims to empower individuals by offering support without stigma: “We want them to feel uplifted rather than pitied.” The evening included children eagerly asking for seconds and enjoying a movie in a transformed space that felt like a real theater experience. Plans are underway for monthly dinner-and-movie events at Life Haven—a beautiful beginning indeed!

We're getting our kids at Life Haven ready for the new school year! Backpacks are just the beginning—shoes, clothes, and snacks are also essential. We're collecting items and providing parents with gift cards to help make back-to-school as normal as possible. You can support by donating today—just text Give2NewReach to 53-555. A huge thank you to the staff at the Residence Inn and CFHA for ensuring every child has a backpack! 🎒💙
