Nex-Tech hosted its 20th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament for Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) at Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays on Friday, September 27, 2024. The event brought together more than 100 participants this year, highlighting the commitment to making a positive impact for those served by BBBS. You've probably heard the acronym MFA or 2FA, but what does it really mean? Why do you need it? As a part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, allow us to shed some light on it. Tip 2: Use MFA or 2FA whenever possible. MFA stands for Multi-Factor Authentication, also referred to as 2FA or Two-Factor Authentication. For clarity, when you are logging into a password-protected site online, the website is prompting you for an additional authentication method. When MFA or 2FA is set up, it makes it more difficult for hackers to infiltrate your account. Be sure to look for this on any password protected site you have an account for - as many of these require you to manually set this up in your account settings. Long, unique passwords are important because they make it significantly harder for hackers to guess or crack them, protecting your online accounts from unauthorized access. This means make your passwords more complicated than your kids' names or your phone number. A unique phrase and special characters can help with creating these passwords.
