Perfectionism is a common struggle for high achievers, but it often holds them back. When we fixate on doing everything perfectly—at work, at home, in life—we end up missing out on so much that life has to offer. Here's the truth: perfect doesn't exist. Our world is constantly changing, and by the time you achieve your version of "perfect," the game has already shifted. Instead of striving for perfection, focus on what's optimal right now. Progress is far more valuable than chasing an impossible ideal. #ProgressNotPerfection #Mindset #PersonalGrowth #HighAchievers #Leadership

To Barbara I Sennrich, resilience isn’t just about bouncing back—it’s about navigating change with purpose. In her words, “Change is like a big wave. You can either get tumbled by it or harness it like a surfer and ride the wave of your life.” Resilience is what helps us choose the second option. It’s about being nimble, going with the flow, and turning life’s challenges into opportunities for growth and success. This powerful insight is just one of the many gems Barbara shares in her conversation on resilience and change. 📅 Mark your calendar! This episode with Barbara Sennrich premieres on YouTube on February 11th at 11 AM EST. Too often, we act like weekend warriors: ⚡ Short bursts of energy ⚡ A hyper-focus on immediate results ⚡ Neglecting intentional, long-term progress But true growth? It's a marathon, not a sprint. "Fall in love with the problem." This is what I shared in a recent conversation with an entrepreneur in training. She's incredibly driven and passionate about solving one of the most complex environmental issues of our time: microplastics. She told me about her inspiration—her high school marine biology course, where she first learned about the devastating effects of pollution on ocean life and human health. But passion alone isn't enough. As we discussed her next steps, I challenged her with a hard truth: "How do you know this is a problem people are driven to solve?" It's a question many entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers overlook. They fall in love with their solutions before fully understanding the problem. They assume others see the world the way they do. Here's what I told her: 1️⃣ Understand the scope and urgency of the problem. How many people are impacted? How much money is being invested in solutions? 2️⃣ Get in the space. Volunteer. Network. Reach out to researchers, industry leaders, and government officials. Proximity to people working on the issue will broaden your knowledge and deepen your impact. 3️⃣ Be clear about your why. Microplastics are a huge problem, but which aspect do you care about most? Is it human health? Wildlife conservation? Policy change? Your focus will guide your next steps. She walked away with a clearer path: research where the money is, build relationships with local experts, and connect with global leaders in the field. That's the power of falling in love with the problem—not just the solution. What's a problem you're so passionate about solving that you're willing to dive deep into it, no matter the obstacles?

When Coach Lucas Woody was training for his Half Ironman, one critical lesson stood out: you have to learn how to sight. In swimming, "sighting" means lifting your head periodically to check your direction, ensuring you're on the right path. Without it, you could end up miles off course. The same principle applies to life and goals. To stay on track: 1️⃣ Know where you're going. Without clarity on what you want out of life, it's impossible to make meaningful progress. 2️⃣ Check in without overthinking. If you're constantly questioning your direction, you'll lose momentum. But if you never reflect, you risk heading in the wrong direction altogether. For him, quarterly check-ins are the sweet spot. They give him enough time to make progress but still allow space to adjust course. Whether you start in January, July, or February doesn't matter—it's about using time intentionally. #GoalSetting #Reflection #Progress #PersonalGrowth #Vision

To advance in your career, you need two key things: 1️⃣ A company that offers opportunities for growth. 2️⃣ The courage to speak up and let others know you’re ready for the next challenge. Kevin shared how his curiosity and ambition have consistently helped him move forward—by asking, “What’s next? What can I learn?” Whether it’s exploring new areas like finance, operations, or lean manufacturing, the key is to stay eager to learn and ready to go all in. Strong leaders are always on the lookout for team members who take ownership of their growth and show the drive to excel. #Leadership #CareerGrowth #Ambition #Curiosity #ProfessionalDevelopment
