Our mission is to create equitable access to computer science curriculum and experiences for all K-12 Indiana students.
About us
Nextech is creating initiatives and building partnerships that connect educators, innovative nonprofits, and entrepreneurs to deliver best-in-class programs that inspire and enable young people from all backgrounds to pursue careers in technology. More than half of the 9.2 million science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) jobs in the U.S. between 2010 and 2020 will be in computing. Yet, fewer students pursue technology careers every year. Nextech exists to close the gap. We expose young people to new career possibilities, teach them how to interact with and develop technology, and inspire them to explore careers in tech.

“I had to develop a strong sense of self-belief and determination. I knew that technology was my passion and that I had the skills to succeed, so I didn’t let these doubts deter me. Instead, I used them as motivation to prove that I could thrive in a field where women are still underrepresented.” https://lnkd.in/gcAa_PgV

October 14-18, 2024 is Digital Citizenship Week! But what is digital citizenship and why is it important? Digital Citizenship Week is about promoting a healthy, balanced and positive relationship with media and tech among young people (though it’s something everyone should embrace)! The best way to understand it is to think about what it means to be a good citizen IRL and do that online. 🙂 Find resources to promote Digital Citizenship Week in your school and/or home at https://lnkd.in/dsm_X8q.
