Starting construction later this summer, NBA's #architecture and #interiordesign studios are bringing a 150-key SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hotels along the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas. The property will include executive and junior suites, open balconies, and multiple dining options including a beer garden with on-demand grilling and docks along the river shore for recreational activities. Catch NBA's latest project with TriBridge Residential, The Goat Farm Apartments, featured in the July issue of Atlanta Magazine! Brian Ward kept artists as the focal point as he led the design team for this one of a kind development where each residential building features studio and performance spaces on the ground level. By creating a sustainable funding source for art, the residential model affirms a central Goat Farm mission: Everyone involved contributes to the arts ecosystem. NBA’s Pinewood Derby event returned for its third year with 10+ entries from our NBAers! Each participant pulled out all the stops in both determination and design. Creativity with the car designs ranged from an airplane representing the Aviation department and a propeller-powered car. Thank you to everyone who participated and shoutout to DYE | NBA Aviation resident Mercer Dye's long-time friend Roy Garren for letting us borrow his 40-foot-long derby track! 🏎️💨 For the first time in NBA pinewood derby history after two races that were too fast for the human eye to catch a winner, the cars raced down the track at the exact speed and tensions rose at the unofficial referees reviewed race footage (a slow-motion iPhone video on both the top of the finish line and along the side. 📸🏁 Read more about the event in our blog post: https://lnkd.in/gSKz5mJu #employees #employeeculture #office #pinewoodderby #derby #derbycars

Director of Design Brian Ward and NBAer Katherine Uhrin, AIA, NCARB were on-site at our recently completed community, The Goat Farm with ULI Atlanta and TriBridge Residential. In reimagining the former textile mill, rather than mimicking the complex’s weathered red brick and metal roofed structures, NBA wanted to honor the city’s history, while acknowledging its future. The design for 254 apartments introduces a new industrial aesthetic, unabashedly contemporary yet embracing the artistic spirit and well-worn charm of the existing 19th-century buildings.
