We experience the mentorship and passion Montez King has for helping people realize their full potential, and his passion for the manufacturing industry. This honor is truly well deserved!
Advanced Manufacturing Teacher Training the future of Manufacturing SME Prime Program Educator CNC Precision Machining Teacher
On February 20th, the manufacturing students hosted their first ever booth at the walking museum for Black History. We chose to honor Mr. Montez King, for his contributions to manufacturing and for his efforts in Washington in 2017 that helped lawmakers realize the importance of bringing back manufacturing classes at the high school level. Hundreds of students learned exactly how your journey has affected students at Proviso West High School directly. We even manufactured 1000 safety whistles right in our very own classroom that we handed out to students who visited the booth and could share a fact about Montez that they learned from our display. A huge thank you to Montez for taking the time to record an interview for us to play at our booth. #MsSenase #pantherpride #PantherManufacturing #proviso #cteworks #skillsgap #skilledtrades #manufacturingeducation #careeropportunities #NIMS #MontezKing Montez King NIMS https://lnkd.in/gXMEKZAF

Congratulations to our 2024 Special Merit Certificate earners. These students are recognized by NIMS for their commitment to Continuous Learning. Students are awarded this certificate after gaining seven industry recognized credentials. Credentials are earned by passing both a proctored exam and third-party part inspection. Tyler Bearden, Hannah Buchanan, and Mason Tucker have worked hard, put in the extra time on the shop floor and are deserving of this honor. All three will graduate in May 2025. We expect to have a few more Special Merit students next semester as well.
