    The most scary request for me as an analyst Was these 3 words: “Find something interesting” I dug tirelessly through the data 🤔 For something “interesting” I made a whole slide deck Of “interesting” stuff But no - not interesting “enough” (…What does “enough” mean?!!) I eventually found  The real “I” word he wanted: ⭐️ Insight Data after all can be mostly muck  But at the bottom of the barrel Are sometimes … insights: ⭐️ Oh wow, adjusting X … May decrease churn!  ⭐️ Or woah, removing Y … May increase clickthrough!  ⭐️ Or hey now: A … Might be a large influence on B To find an insight It doesn’t matter what *I* find “interesting” It matters what’s *relevant*  To the business and its priorities What will inspire people to act *Differently* To find an insight we MUST: ✳️ Have business acumen  No ifs, ands, or buts What are some cool insights you’ve found?

    This could be controversial 🧨but I must admit it 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 But let me explain ⤵️ Value doesn’t come from the quality of the data alone, but from the quality of the questions you ask of the data… Let’s be honest… As Data and AI professionals, we’re too often obsession with perfection… ⚡️pristine datasets ⚡️flawless algorithms ⚡️gap free datapoints But the honest truth is: 𝐔𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞! Think about it—what good is perfectly clean data if it doesn’t drive meaningful insights? True value is in how you leverage the data to solve real-world problems, make decisions, and create tangible impact… This is where what I call “utility over perfection” should become your guiding principle It is about being 𝚟̲𝚊̲𝚕̲𝚞̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚏̲𝚘̲𝚌̲𝚞̲𝚜̲𝚎̲𝚍̲ and 𝚟̲𝚊̲𝚕̲𝚞̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚍̲𝚛̲𝚒̲𝚟̲𝚎̲𝚗̲ It’s not about waiting for the perfect data, which will really never come… It’s about asking the right questions, focusing on the outcomes, and being adaptable with what you have. Data that is “good enough” can unlock unbelievable value when combined with clear objectives and value driven thinking… But what does such value focus look like in practice?
