Nixa Choirs (Official) High School Director Daniel Gutierrez was presented with the Podium Award at the 2024 Missouri Choral Directors Association (MCDA) state conference this summer. 🥳 This award is presented to a member of MCDA who has made exemplary contributions to the choral arts through distinguished performances. 🎵 He received the award for the Nixa High School Chamber Singers’ performance at the 2024 Southwest American Choral Directors Association conference in Denver in March. 🎉

🎊 Tonight, the Glenn Scott SCORE Campus of Nixa High School hosted its graduation celebration. Twenty-seven students graduated this year, making 582 graduates since SCORE started 26 years ago. 👏 At the celebration, students were awarded the following honors: 🎓 Chloe Olivia Aley received the Bob & Mea Childers Scholarship and the Nixa Rotary Club Scholarship. 🎓 Sophia Parry received the Glenn & Kay Scott Scholarship. 🦅 Chloe Olivia Aley, Devin McCall, William Bruffet, Sophia Parry, and Ian Lynch received the Portrait of the Eagle Award for embodying the five characteristics that the community wishes to recognize among its students. These students will walk at graduation with their Nixa High School classmates at the Great Southern Bank Arena on Sunday, May 19, at 1:30 p.m. 🎉
