With the holidays right around the corner, we want to begin the celebrations by wishing the NJ TRANSIT Emergency Management Training Center (EMTC) a Happy 1-Year Anniversary! Since opening in October of 2023, the NJT EMTC has hosted over 840 students from across the United States by conducting 43 emergency management, safety, security, and sport and special event management classes. Partnerships continue to be forged between transportation professionals, local first responders, and emergency management personnel from local municipalities served by NJ TRANSIT. These trainings enhance community-wide preparedness and foster multi-agency coordination and cooperation to improve overall response to emergencies and major events involving NJ TRANSIT. We look forward to conducting many more trainings in the EMTC over the coming years!
