About us

The New Jersey Career Development Association, previously a subcommittee of the New Jersey Counseling Association and NJCDA. NJECA, reincorporated as an affiliate of the National Career Development Association (hereafter referred to as NCDA) by by-law amendment effective October 19, 2020. The general purpose of NJCDA shall be to advance the discipline, science, and activities of career development including career coaching, advising, and counseling: To promote a greater understanding of the meaning of work and to foster career development over the life span. To provide service to the public and professionals involved with or interested in career development by providing professional development activities, publications, research, public information, professional standards, advocacy, and recognition for achievement and service. To contribute to the development of the nation's workforce. The Association is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.
