One of the biggest elections in our lifetimes... so far... is just a few weeks away. In 2020 and 2022, voters under 30 made up 21% of the electorate. So, we wanted to hear from them! Introducing “Party Games.” Through our partnership with America Amplified, NJ Spotlight News is talking with young voters about some of their biggest issues in this election cycle. And they are talking to each other. Not debating or arguing, just a real, honest exchange of ideas. We want to hear why they’re passionate about an issue and why it’s driving them to the polls on Nov. 5. Be on the lookout; the full climate change conversation drops next week! Want to join the fun? If you are a young voter passionate about women’s rights, foreign affairs or the economy send an email! digital@njspotlightnews.org.

September is National Recovery Month, a time to recognize the strength and resilience of individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Last week, we marked the occasion by highlighting our expanded Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program and its impact on our patients. “This expansion brings lifesaving treatment to patients within their own communities and reinforces the message that substance use disorders should be treated like any other chronic condition by your primary care physician,” said President and CEO Fran Palm. Read more: https://bit.ly/3TDbpr4 Watch on PBS / NJ Spotlight News: to.pbs.org/4dpscoU The expanded MAT services were made possible by a grant through the New Jersey Safety Net Innovation Program (NJ SNIP). NJ SNIP is funded by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, an independent charitable organization, and managed by the Camden Coalition.
