With everything nonprofit leaders and organizations are facing these days, making time for professional development and investing in learning may seem like something that's easy to go by the wayside. But strengthening our skills and nonprofits has never been more critical. Angelita Montes, grants and contracts manager at Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, shares just how powerful investing in our learning is to be the change that changes everything. Angie was experiencing challenges working with her colleagues and recalls leaving her first class at our training center in tears. "The Nonprofit Leadership Center reminded me of who I am. It also showed me how to do my job better. Being myself and leading authentically removed friction and alleviated such a burden for me in the workplace." Since her first class, Angie has taken eight more at NLC and says attending classes with us has forever changed her leadership mindset.
