We’ve recently completed an aerial survey in the UK for our valued utility clients, capturing LiDAR and imagery data for transmission powerlines across North Yorkshire. This presented a unique opportunity to fly directly over the NM Group technology center — a rare and exciting moment for the team! Spent the last few weeks surveying around the UK for National Grid. Despite the usual challenges with the British summer weather and air traffic control, it was exciting to spot the new T-pylons near Bristol and follow the transmission lines through the Welsh valleys when the sun came out. Another project efficiently captured with NM Group. As a bonus, I bumped into James G. just prior to his last flight as first officer for Loganair Limited at Cardiff airport - best of luck when you go to Ryanair!
