Celebrating Jacob Lovekamp! Jacob attends the University of Central Oklahoma and majors in music performance. This path began a few years ago when he first picked up the guitar. What started as a hobby has grown into a true passion, with Jacob envisioning a career in music—whether composing his own work or contributing as a studio guitarist. Jacob’s personal interests include spending time with friends, exploring new places, and enjoying movies. Jacob’s story is one of resilience and family. His father, Marine Corps Lance Corporal Derek Lovekamp, faced several IEDs during his tours in Iraq, leading to severe PTSD. For Jacob, the NGS scholarship represents more than financial assistance—it’s a supportive community he can rely on throughout his college journey and beyond. Jacob’s sister, Kaylee, is also an NGS Scholar. #NoGreaterSacrifice #MilitaryFamilies #NGSScholar #CollegeJourney

What a tremendous event! Thank you, Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, for a fantastic evening and your substantial support of military children.
Our 7th Atlanta Gala was a tremendous success, thanks in large part to our remarkable speakers! The evening was expertly hosted by Condace Pressley, Director of Community and Public Affairs at WSB-TV, who served as our Master of Ceremonies. Gold Star Speaker Ginger Gilbert Ravella moved us all with her inspiring story of resilience and hope after the tragic loss of her husband, U.S. Air Force Major Troy Gilbert. Thank you also to LuLu Louizaire, Miss Georgia 2024, for being our special guest. #JMSF #johnnymacsoldiersfund #givingbackthrougheducation #scholarships #militarykids #tenyearanniversary #7thatlantagala

NGS stands out by supporting both the children of fallen and severely wounded Service members, recognizing the unique challenges they face. As part of our Enduring Tribute campaign, NGS is proud to highlight Alyssa and August Cowart, both Scholars at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Alyssa is majoring in Environmental Engineering, driven by her passion for environmental justice and human rights. She is deeply involved in campus life, even founding a puzzle club to foster community. Her goal is to pursue a Master's Degree to tackle climate issues globally. August, a Chemistry major, is part of the Honors Program and aspires to become a Forensic Chemist, beginning their career with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and working toward the FBI. Outside academics, August is an avid reader with a strong drive to help others through science. Their father, Army Sergeant Daniel Cowart, lost his leg in Iraq in 2007 while stopping a suicide bomber from attacking his unit, saving many lives. Alyssa and August grew up knowing their dad is a hero, and his Silver Star was later upgraded to the Distinguished Service Cross. For Alyssa and August, the NGS scholarship represents the opportunity to honor their father’s sacrifice while building a brighter future for themselves. Our Enduring Tribute campaign highlights a unique aspect of No Greater Sacrifice’s (NGS) mission: serving both the children of fallen and severely wounded service members. We honor the sacrifices these families have made and support them on their educational journeys. Meet Jak Gist, a Scholar pursuing a Master of Architecture at the University of Kansas. Originally drawn to engineering, his passion shifted to architecture, where design and creativity came together for him. Beyond academics, Jak is a multi-instrumentalist, an All-American wrestler, and a national powerlifting competitor. He lost his father, Army Sergeant Milton Anthony Gist Jr., in 2007 when he was just one. For Jak, the NGS scholarship is more than financial aid—it’s a network of support and opportunities that will guide him beyond college. Support our mission at No Greater Sacrifice (NGS) and help more students like Jak through our Enduring Tribute campaign. Click this link to donate: https://loom.ly/dEgI2wo
