Join us for the third annual 2024 Nomi Network Corporate Summit: CEOs, elected officials, investors, philanthropists, and changemakers will unite to further economic justice. Our focus will be on the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and global economic externalities, specifically as it relates to their impact on human trafficking and vulnerable populations. Insightful discussions will bring actionable strategies to strengthen corporate sustainability and workforce development initiatives. Nomi Network is dedicated to ending human trafficking by providing safe employment pathways for women and girls to break free from cycles of exploitation. Women build social capital and workforce skills to enter employment or entrepreneurship in communities where barriers are highest. The Annual Corporate Summit showcases the critical business partnerships that create opportunities for women while fulfilling corporate social responsibility objectives. Together, we can accelerate workforce opportunities for survivors and marginalized communities.

“Empowerment of women leads to development of a good family, good society and, ultimately, a good nation. When the woman is happy, the home is happy. When the home is happy, the society is happy and when the society is happy, the state is happy and when the state is happy there will be peace in the country and it will develop at a greater pace” __________________ Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam In an effort to uplift and inspire young girls, Integrated Development Foundation in collaboration with Nomi Network is empowering more than 600 targeted adolescents through vocational training program in 18 villages of Katra block, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. 🖋️📚 Adolescent Girls Empowerment program initiative has been equipping girls with the tools they need to navigate life confidently with educational support, professional mentorship, financial literacy and health wellness program. "Ninety percent of (trafficking victims) who had a criminal record reported a portion or all of their criminal records were related to unlawful acts committed as a direct result of being trafficked." (2023 TIP Report). This is a significant barrier to employment. Clearing criminal records can give them a fresh start and new opportunities. Legislation such as this could provide much-needed relief for so many.

*UPDATE* The Trafficking Survivors Relief Act has been introduced in the Senate! We’re one step closer to gaining, for the first time, a federal law that will give survivors of human trafficking a pathway to clear their criminal records & protect them from having a record in the first place. We need YOUR HELP. The best way to convince Congress to pass this bill is to call or make an appointment with your Congress members to ask them to support this bill. In the United States, over one million people are experiencing human trafficking, a reality often overlooked. Texas ranks #2 in the U.S. for human trafficking, with Dallas-Fort Worth responsible for 35% of the state's commercial sexual exploitation cases. The vulnerabilities of these individuals stem from complex socioeconomic factors, including economic inequity, poverty, and limited access to education and secure employment. Those struggling with abuse, substance abuse, insecure immigration status, or criminal justice or foster care system involvement are at a high risk. India is home to the world’s largest population of modern-day enslaved people, estimated to be over 11 million. Nomi Network serves in four states in Northeastern India, where women and girls are economically marginalized due to poverty, caste discrimination, gender inequality, and low capacity to resist economic shocks. Many communities we serve are bordering major trafficking routes and red-light districts, putting them at risk for commercial sexual exploitation and forced marriages. Watch the story of Aashvi from our Workforce Development program to learn how your support of Women's History Month empowers women in this region to build a life of their choosing.
