📢 Nonprofits Are Facing Financial Challenges—We're Here to Help Build Resilience! 📢 According to Nonprofit Finance Fund, too many nonprofits are running on fumes. Their 2018 State of the Nonprofit Sector Survey reveals two-thirds of nonprofits struggle to offer competitive pay, half have less than three months of cash on hand, and 86% are bracing for increased demand. This funding gap isn’t new; it’s a crisis that’s plagued our sector for years. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, we at NEW (Nonprofit Enterprise at Work) took action. First, we secured funding to provide rent relief for tenants in need. But we knew a deeper solution was necessary, so we launched Road to Resilience—NEW’s financial leadership program, built to support nonprofit leaders and finance staff on the path to long-term resilience. Road to Resilience is more than a program; it’s a community-driven experience to build financial acumen and resilience, focusing on strong balance sheets, reserves, and participatory budgeting. Our next cohort kicks off in January 2025! 🚀 Applications close on December 2nd at 9:00 am. Apply here: https://lnkd.in/eMWMYu4W Program Highlights: 🔸 Strengthen your nonprofit finance fundamentals 🔸 Build strategies for clear, transparent financial communication 🔸 Connect with other leaders navigating the “accidental finance” space Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gJcZdjR4 Let’s build resilience together! 🌱 #NonprofitFinancials #Flourishing #RoadToResilience #NEW

This is your go-to spot to build the financial confidence you need to lead boldly. It’s especially for those of us who might be experts in our mission but feel a bit out of our element when it comes to the numbers. Together, we’ll get rooted in equity and abundance. • Folks, submit a proposal today for the 2024 Re-Entry and Workforce Development Innovation Grant Program! What will these grants fund? The Re-Entry and Workforce Development Innovation Grants will prioritize innovative, scalable strategies that increase opportunities for system-involved people, inclusive of formerly incarcerated people, to achieve economic mobility. The Michigan Justice Fund values strategies developed with direct input from system-involved people that have the potential for local, regional, or statewide impact, as well as the increased investment or reallocation of public funds. The Michigan Justice Fund anticipates that up to $1,500,000 will be awarded in this grant cycle. There are three (3) types of grants that may be funded under this RFP: Planning — grants up to $100,000 for a 12-month planning process. Implementation — grants up to $400,000 for 24-month project periods. Capacity Building — grants up to $400,000 for 24-month project periods. Note: Applications proposing projects lower than the funding ceiling will receive equal consideration. Due date: October 31, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. ET Learn more and apply at: https://lnkd.in/e3-jJ5d
