Established in 1967, North Alabama Fabricating Company (NAFCO) is a world-class fabricator of structural steel for aggregate and material-handling systems, energy industry equipment, forest products handling equipment, general building construction, and unique, client-specific steel projects. Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, the industrial hub of the southeastern United States, NAFCO services customers all over the globe, having successfully completed challenging steel projects throughout North and South America as well as Australia. With a 250,000 square foot, twenty-first century facility in Cullman, Alabama and a 35,000 square foot specialty and miscellaneous metals facility in Winfield, Alabama- combined with a staff that is knowledgeable, experienced, and multi-talented in production and engineering - NAFCO has the facilities and expertise to handle everything from design and structural detailing to manufacturing, erection, and field maintenance. Congratulations to Catherine Thrasher on 50 years of service to NAFCO!! Catherine joined the company on March 4, 1974 in Moulton, AL where she was hired by company founder, John W. Parrish. We enjoyed celebrating Catherine and this milestone on March 4, 2024 at our Cullman, AL facility where she was presented with a 50th Anniversary gift by NAFCO's Chairman, Ralph Parrish. Catherine continues to be an integral part of the success of the company and is known as someone who "takes care of others". Her knowledge of, and accuracy of work, within the steel fabricating industry is rivaled only by a few. Catherine's ongoing legacy is something we truly appreciate and admire!

NAFCO was proud to fabricate the structural steel for the Test Stand 4670 reconstruction efforts. Another marquee project for the aerospace industry, right in our backyard!
A louder rumble in Rocket City! We just completed our first-ever BE-4 engine hotfire test at the historic Test Stand 4670 in Huntsville. We also continue to test BE-4 engines at our Texas facility. The BE-4 engine produces 550,000 pounds of thrust and is our most powerful engine yet.

Work continues on the addition of a 45,000 square foot paint building at our Cullman, AL location.
