VARUN DIXIT, MD, a NAPA anesthesiologist at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, presented this week at #ANES24 on ways to bring green practices to perioperative spaces. Dr. Dixit has long been a champion for improving environmental matters in surgical services. Last year, he helped his hospital earn the Virginia Governor’s Environmental Excellence Gold Award for Sustainability in Healthcare. Inspired by Dr. Dixit's efforts, NAPA also worked with CMS on an anesthesia-based quality measure to reduce greenhouse gas-emitting inhalational anesthetics. #anesthesia # HQW24
