Congratulations to NCBiotech portfolio company SonoVascular, Inc. on securing an additional $1.75M investment to advance their SonoThrombectomy System.
🚀 Exciting News! The Wolfpack Investor Network and Harbright Ventures have made a follow-on investment of over $1.75M in SonoVascular, Inc., a medical technology company that has developed SonoThrombectomy™. SonoVascular’s innovative SonoThrombectomy™ System combines pharmaco-mechanical action, ultrasound facilitation, and thrombolytic enhancement to treat venous thromboembolism (VTE), which includes Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE). With VTE being the third most common cardiovascular disease and responsible for 300K annual deaths in the US, the potential impact of this technology is enormous. Special shoutout to NC State alumni John Ranshaw, Hannah Flores, and Drs. Xiaoning Jiang and Paul Dayton on this groundbreaking technology. Their work through the NC State and UNC-CH BME MS-TRAIN program shows the power of academic and entrepreneurial collaboration! 👏 SonoVascular’s system represents a breakthrough in treating life-threatening blood clots safely and efficiently, eliminating the need for ICU care. We're excited to support SonoVascular's journey to bring life-saving solutions to patients worldwide! 🌍 Read More Here: https://lnkd.in/ei-z77xZ #MedicalInnovation #VentureCapital #HealthTech #WIN #NCState #Investment #SonoVascular #VTE #DVT #PE #HealthcareInnovation #NCStateAlumni #NCStateFaculty
