  • North Mississippi Health Service's Hamilton Primary Care Center recently honored licensed practical nurse Carole Williams as Star of the Month for her dedication to her patients and peers. Carole joined the NMHS team in 2017 after obtaining her LPN degree from Northwest Shoals Community College. "Carole is an intelligent nurse who cares deeply about her patients and about providing high-quality care," notes one of the many nominations Carole received for Star of the Month. Each nomination highlights Carole's sincere love and concern for her patients. According to one nomination, a patient mentioned to Carole that they were food-insecure and didn't know where they would get their next meal. Carole took it upon herself to retrieve pantry staples and snacks for the patient and point them in the direction of additional support services. She is known for sharing her love through food, including bringing fresh produce from her garden to share with her teammates. Another nomination writes about a patient who was nervous about a procedure and how Carole went above and beyond to ensure their comfort. "I was so impressed at her dedication to get what the patient needed," says the nomination. One nomination puts it simply: "Carole is a true example of God's love." Congratulations on this recognition, Carole! We are so excited that our patients get to witness your Servant's Heart in action.
