Our recommendation is for homeowners to take photos and videos at every stage of the process but do not wait for your adjuster to arrive before beginning work on your home. Hi Everyone. We are open and will be open tomorrow to take claims and monitor voicemail. Our number is 727-521-4253. If you call the office and get our voice mail, please leave a message with your name, policy number, and phone number. In the meantime, please follow the instructions below to help expedite your claim. 1. If you have had flood damage and your power is out, make sure your main breaker is off. 2. If there is still standing water, do not touch the breaker. When your power returns, it could arc and start a fire. 3. Take lots of photos and videos to show damage and how high the water was. 4. Call your agent or carrier to turn in the claim. Have policy number available. 5. Preserve your property and mitigate the damage. This includes removing the contents, base boards and flooring. If you have tile, I would leave that for the adjuster. 6. Adjuster takes 24-48 hours to respond. (Photo: WFLA) #hurricanehelene

When considering filing a claim, consider the policy deductible vs estimated repair costs. A. If the deductible is significantly lower than the repair estimate, it would be wise to file a claim.  B.
