This #FoodserviceWeek, we’re featuring members of the team who help to ensure our guests, visitors, and staff are receiving delicious and nutritious meals! Meet Yuliana Aguilar-Jaimes, dietary supervisor at Sierra Medical Center! She has been with us for 8 years and was part of the opening team for Sierra Medical Center in 2022. “My job is stressful at times, but overall, no matter how hard it gets, I love coming into work and being able to help my team be successful for the day. We have fun daily with conversations and funny moments,” she said. “I also enjoy helping patients understand their diets or choosing what to order when they are having a difficult time. Being able to take the time to talk and listen to them and helping to make a difference for them makes my day.” Thank you, Yuliana, and our foodservice teams for all you do!

Our volunteers are some of our most treasured assets at our hospitals. Whether they’re helping to point patients in the right direction, providing a comforting shoulder, or being their friendly selves, they’re always a bright spot in our facilities. We’re lucky to have them as part of our team, and that includes Cindi Powell! “I was a patient at Sierra Medical Center several times in the last couple of years and the care and treatment that I received from every individual and department was so amazing that I wanted to give back what was so generously, compassionately, and lovingly given to me,” she said. “It is so rewarding to be of service to others who come in as patients, potential hires, vendors, and visitors. I love being the first person they see with a smile and a calm reassuring demeanor. It is rewarding to me to make the hospital experience for others less frightening and anxiety-producing as was done for me.” Thank you, Cindi, for all you do for our patients!
