As we reflect on the aftermath of two devastating storms, it is always humbling to witness the selflessness and compassion demonstrated by the communities impacted by natural disasters. We are immensely grateful to the Northern Tool team for rallying to take care of each other and ensure that our communities and first responders have the critical tools and equipment needed to provide relief and support during such a difficult time. From overnight preparation of storm trucks to deliver the essential supplies to impacted areas, to temporary relocations to ensure the teams of impacted stores have the flexibility to take care of their personal needs, and everything in between; we are so proud of #TeamNorthern and how our core values show up in every interaction. Our mission is to serve those who do the tough jobs, and we recognize that facing this level of devastation both at home and in the community is one of the toughest jobs out there. Seven years ago, we hosted our first bunk bed build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP). Several hundred beds later, we remain a dedicated partner in ensuring that every kid in our community has a warm, cozy bed to wake up in. No child should have to sleep on the floor! Our last hosted bunk bed build event for 2024 was held recently where several volunteers came together at our office—powered by their passion and our unique tools—to give little ones the gift of a goodnight’s sleep. With over 600 beds built, 200 delivered, and 400 more ready to find homes just in time for Christmas, it has indeed been a great year of partnership with SHP. Giving back is at the heart of our culture at Northern Tool.
