She is pursuing a Master of Arts in English after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication at California Lutheran University. In her off time, she likes to read fantasy and fiction.

Northridge Review is a literary & arts journal of the present, produced by students in the creative writing program at California State University, Northridge. Founded in 1962 as a campus publication of student work, Northridge Review publishes prose, poetry, drama, art, and hybrid texts from across all disciplines that test the boundaries of form, content, and genre by exploring the current literary and cultural climate in thoughtful and challenging ways.

“To remember death, to remember carelessness, to remember a person.” Contributor Spotlight! Victoria Hoang is an undergraduate student at CSUN double-majoring in Civil Engineering and Professional Accountancy. She is the 2025 Daniel W. Mead Technical Paper Project Manager for CSUN ASCE, a student chapter that promotes civil engineering education. Her technical paper will be presented at the 2025 ASCE PSWS Competition.

“Not unlike the career of a character actor, buildings in Los Angeles tend to play a variety of different parts.” Contributor Spotlight! Tristan Eisenberg graduated from CSUN's Creative Writing MA program last year and is still searching for the next big thing. In the meantime, he teaches English at a local high school and drinks Mai Tais, but never at the same time. He continues to write about Los Angeles and its forgotten history, as it is the only place he knows.

Susana Hernandez earned her Associate of Arts in English at Antelope Valley College where she then transferred and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at California State University Northridge. She is currently earning her Master's Degree in English Literature at CSUN. Her aspirations are to teach at the community college level once she has finished her program. She is serving as Assistant Art Editor for the Northridge Review. Susana is passionate about writing fantasy, adventure, and realistic creative non-fiction.

Her writing has appeared in former Northridge Review issues and Cul-De-Sac Literary Magazine. Her writing explores the human pursuit of benevolence and understanding despite being our own biggest obstacle. When not writing, she's reading film scripts, traveling, or starting new creative hobbies.

He commits his time as the Managing Editor for prose in Scarlet Review, the Treasurer for Sigma Tau Delta, and the current Editor-at-Large for Northridge Review. “Woman, Life, Freedom.” Contributor Spotlight! Nilgoon Askari is an Iranian-American activist, screenwriter, and filmmaker. She holds an Associate Degree in Technical Theater and a Bachelor’s Degree in Screenwriting. Her talent has earned widespread recognition, including the Best Feature Drama Screenplay award for Fuchsia Fox at the Cannes Film Awards 2023, along with several other accolades.

“Gravediggers, buriers of wishes, laying hopes in coffins along with The American Dream” Contributor Spotlight! Morgan Darian graduated from CSUN, Sigma Tau Delta in Creative Writing. She received the Eva Latif and Joan Nessan awards for youth fiction, her recent work appearing in Beyond Words. For years, she scribbled ideas on server notepads between breakfast and lunch crowds. She looks toward completing her first novel next year.

Michael Fagnani (he/him/his) is a senior at CSUN earning his bachelor’s degree in English.
