  • 100 years ago, the world was just starting to embrace modern technology, with the average car costing $850 and the first commercial radio broadcast reaching listeners in 1924. As we look back on a century of change and progress, one thing remains constant—our people. At Northwest Texas Healthcare System, we’re not just celebrating a century of service; we’re celebrating the heart and soul of our hospital—our employees. From compassionate care to innovative practices, our team’s dedication to their work, community, and each other is the reason we continue to thrive. Without your hard work and unwavering commitment, this hospital would not be the beacon of healing and excellence it is today. Here's to the countless moments of service, and to the future we will build together. 🌟

Today, we honored our fallen brothers and sisters in law enforcement who tragically lost their lives to suicide. This event not only remembers their service but also raises critical awareness for suicide prevention among law enforcement and first responders. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our Behavioral Health team for organizing this impactful event, as well as Mayor Cole Stanley and Police Chief Martin Birkenfeld for their powerful words. Special thanks to Tascosa High School ROTC, Chief Adam Wilcox, and the Caprock High School show choir for their meaningful contributions. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, please call 988. You are never alone.

  • ✨ Meet Emily, Our Pediatric Oncology Nurse Navigator ✨ September is Pediatric Oncology Month, and we're spotlighting the dedicated work of Emily, who guides families through every step of their child's cancer journey. With over 9,000 children in the U.S. diagnosed with cancer in 2024, Emily ensures that no family walks this path alone. According to Emily, "Not everyone realizes how many kids have cancer. But what truly stands out is the incredible resiliency of these children—they show us strength and courage every day." Her favorite part of her role? "Getting to know the families and kids and helping them face this challenging time together." Thank you, Emily, for your compassion and commitment! 💛🎗 #PediatricOncologyMonth
