Northwest Texas Healthcare System’s Heart and Vascular Center proudly announces the successful implantation of the region’s first Barostim™ Baroreflex Activation Therapy device. This groundbreaking neuromodulation technology, the first of its kind FDA-approved for heart failure, was implanted by Dr. Bradley Trinidad and Dr. Prakash Desai. The advanced procedure reflects our commitment to offering innovative solutions and reinforces our standing as the leading cardiovascular center in the region. Barostim™ offers hope to heart failure patients by improving symptoms where medication alone may fall short, furthering our mission of excellence in cardiovascular care.

Today, we honored our fallen brothers and sisters in law enforcement who tragically lost their lives to suicide. This event not only remembers their service but also raises critical awareness for suicide prevention among law enforcement and first responders. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our Behavioral Health team for organizing this impactful event, as well as Mayor Cole Stanley and Police Chief Martin Birkenfeld for their powerful words.
