Food for Today, Hope for Tomorrow
About us
For more than 50 years, Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) has served as an invaluable resource in Chicago, ensuring our low-income neighbors have enough to eat and have access to critical, and sometimes lifesaving, social services. Together, we have directly improved the lives of thousands of our community members. Last year we provided over 200,000 food, mental health and social services throughout the city. We distribute the equivalent of more than 4.5 million meals annually. Our Mission: Nourishing Hope through food, mental health and social services so that all of our neighbors can thrive. We envision a city where all people have the resources needed for a dignified life. Join us to provide food for today, and hope for tomorrow.

Repost from Equal Hope: Join us tomorrow at 11 a.m. on WVON 1690 AM - The Talk of Chicago as we dive deep into a vital topic: the importance of diversity in breast cancer clinical trials. We’ll explore how inclusive research can lead to better outcomes for all patients with host, Dana Divine, and special guest expert, Dr. Abiola Ibraheem, oncologist at UI Health. Too often, clinical trials don’t reflect the diverse communities they aim to serve, and this impacts the effectiveness of treatments. Hear about the roles and strategies needed to increase diversity. We'll also be chatting with our other special guest, Jennie Filicky Hull, Chief Program Officer at Nourishing Hope and breast cancer survivor. Hear her story about hope and resilience. #equalhope #chicagononprofit #breastcancerawarenessmonth #clinicaltrials
