🚨 Laser Scanning for Forensics & Public Safety Investigations Accurate, detailed visual data is essential for fast decision-making in accident investigations, damage assessments, and insurance claims. In today's feature project, Nicolas Trültzsch, Jérémy D., and their team at the Dijon Office of My Digital Buildings used the Leica RTC360 and NavVis VLX to capture every detail of an incident site. They subsequently rendered it with NUBIGON, providing crucial information for stakeholders. Videos produced with NUBIGON help insurance adjusters, forensics teams, engineers, architects, and law enforcement better understand incidents and assist laser scanning professionals in promoting their services in this field. 🚀 Bringing History to Life with Hybrid Reality Capture! 🏰 When documenting historic sites, achieving spatial accuracy AND visual realism is key. That’s where hybrid reality capture comes in—a powerful combination of lidar and photogrammetry that preserves every intricate detail, inside and out. And when it’s time to bring these complex datasets to life, NUBIGON is the go-to tool for immersive and detailed visualizations. A fantastic example is the Royal City of Loches, captured by Nicolas Trültzsch and his colleagues! This project involved a full lidar and photogrammetric survey of the castle’s exterior and interior. The team used a Leica RTC360 for precise exterior lidar scans, a NavVis VLX for quick and efficient interior captures, and drones for photogrammetry. The result? All datasets were seamlessly combined in NUBIGON, where the team visualized and animated them, creating stunning, dynamic renderings of this historic gem! #pointcloud #digitalheritage #laserscanning #photogrammetry #realitycapture #nubigon
