ADVOCACY ROOTED IN TRADITION

About us

The National Utility Contractors Association is the nation's oldest and largest association for the utility and excavation construction industry. NUCA represents nearly 2,000 companies in 48 states that provide the materials and workforce to build and maintain our nation's underground water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecommunications systems, as well as water treatment plants. Our New Jersey chapter provides your company immediate membership in this powerful national trade group and also furnishes a whole host of more local, state-centered benefits. Utility contractors deserve a group specific to their needs only and with a national reach. When you join NUCA NJ, you get the support of two utility trade associations in one membership. What a great night at NUCA NJ's Borgata Bash at the B Bar last Thursday! It was a wonderful opportunity for both members and prospective members to come together in the middle of the action to celebrate and make new connections. A special congratulations to our Board Member and Secretary/Treasurer Lou Pillari for accepting the UTCA's Robert Briant Senior Award earlier in the evening. And as always, a big shout out to our Event Sponsors -- Raritan Group, Spiniello, and Tenna --for helping to make this night such a huge success! #NUCAStrongerTogether

NUCA is partnering with other construction companies to observe Construction Suicide Prevention Week from September 9-13, focusing on the distressing suicide rates in the American construction sector. Known for its high-stress environment, long hours, and physically demanding nature, the construction industry often contributes to mental health challenges. During this week, companies and organizations will unite to offer training sessions, workshops, and open discussions on mental health and suicide prevention. The aim is to dismantle the stigma around mental health issues and encourage workers to seek support when necessary. By fostering a culture of openness and support, Construction Suicide Prevention Week strives to save lives and enhance the well-being of industry professionals. The week will commence with a national stand-down and moment of silence at 2:50 PM ET on September 9. For more information about this important week of awareness, visit https://lnkd.in/ei6GKtdy #NUCAStrongerTogether #MentalHealthAwareness #ConstructionSuicidePrevention
