We are an innovative company that will transform how nuclear fission is used to power our society. Nuclear energy is a practically unlimited source of carbon-free energy that can be used to generate heat and electricity. Simplicity is the key to make this technology affordable and available everywhere. NuCube is developing a new technology that, in its groundbreaking simplicity, will achieve the degree of affordability and safety which will make nuclear energy the natural complement for wind, solar and energy storage to achieve a sustainable future for humankind. NuCube is building an international network of best-in-class engineers and researchers to deliver its promises to the market in the shortest time possible.

    We have two additional team members that we are welcoming who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to drive innovation in the nuclear energy sector. Anthony Schroeder, our Principal Nuclear Materials Engineer. He brings a stellar background in material development and qualification, he joins us from Westinghouse Electric Company, where he led groundbreaking efforts for the eVinci Microreactor. Anthony was recently welcomed as a Plenary Speaker for the 21st Environmental Degradation of Materials Conference presenting “Material Selection and Design for High Temperature Microreactors” and is on the International Advisory Board for the upcoming 10th International Conference on Advances in Materials, Manufacturing, and Repair for Power Plants. He has additionally supported LFR (Lead Fast Reactor) regulatory engagement with UK Office for Nuclear Regulation, SFR (Sodium Fast Reactor) safety analysis modeling, and participated in materials outage support for the existing nuclear fleet. As a valuable addition to our team, Anthony brings a wealth of experience in Industry 4.0 operations optimizations across diverse sectors. His contributions to LFR regulatory engagement, SFR safety analysis modeling, and materials outage support for the nuclear fleet showcase his commitment to excellence. Kais Kawar, as our Senior Mechanical Engineer. Kais joins us with seven years of invaluable experience in mechanical design across nuclear, space, and automotive industries. His expertise in design, research, and management aligns seamlessly with NuCube Energy's commitment to pioneering sustainable solutions. Kais has proven himself as a leader in specialized detailed design, adept in requirements management, and skilled in design failure analysis. He contributed significantly to cutting-edge projects in his previous role as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at X-energy, showcasing his dedication to innovation. He led the Structural Analysis on the Fuel Handling System on X-energy’s HTGRs and developed many innovative solutions on the mobile nuclear reactor program for the DOD and Nuclear thermal propulsion project for NASA’s Mars mission. Beyond his professional endeavors, Kais is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance and feasibility of renewable energy. His involvement in assisting local organizations in designing and installing various solar systems reflects his passion for sustainable solutions.     We are thrilled to welcome the following team members to our growing team. Dr. Mitchell Meyer, a seasoned expert in nuclear fuels and materials, to NuCube Energy. With a Ph.D. in ceramic engineering from Iowa State University, Dr. Meyer brings 27 years of invaluable experience from significant roles at Argonne, Idaho National Laboratories, and the private sector. Some highlights from Dr. Meyer's remarkable career include, he has served as the U.S. technical lead for international programs, playing a pivotal role in eliminating weapons-grade uranium from research reactors. Dr Meyer led fuel development for the DOE’s Advanced Fuel Cycle program, contributing to advancements in burning minor actinides. As the Founding Director of DOE’s Nuclear Science User Facility (NSUF) program, he spearheaded initiatives to enhance the understanding of nuclear materials and fuels. Lorin Young, P.E., our new Program Director. Lorin brings a wealth of experience and expertise that aligns seamlessly with our vision for innovation and excellence in the nuclear energy sector. Lorin holds an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering. As a seasoned professional with over 24 years of operations experience, Lorin has exceptional skills in strategic program management, team leadership, and process optimization. His ability to navigate complex projects has been evident in his roles, including Senior Project Director at Jacobs (CH2M Hill). Lorin has overseen projects for power production, DOE, DOD, and manufacturing clients and brings in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NRC, DOE, NEPA, and IAEA. His global impact extends across Canada, Europe, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States, demonstrating a versatile skill set and an understanding of international nuclear projects. Among Lorin's notable accomplishments is the development of an NQA-1 compliant Design Control program, leading the conceptual design of a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility and management of home office support to an $8 billion/10-year management and operations contract at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.
