On Monday, November 11, the NMotion SPSW Kick-Off Party / IO Summit Afterparty / NMotion Showcase begins! It will be a combined celebration with the IO2024 Summit and NMotion Showcase for the official kick-off of Silicon Prairie Startup Week. Join us for food, drinks and a showcase of the NMotion Fall 2024 Accelerator Cohort. This event will be held in downtown Lincoln at the Rococco Theater, 140 N 13th St, Lincoln, NE 68508, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. For the second year, Nebraska Innovation Campus will host the Heartland Robotics and Automation Conference on Friday, November 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The conference will bring together industry experts, entrepreneurs, investors, and robotics enthusiasts to explore the latest trends and advancements in the field of robotics and automation. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is holding its annual 3-2-1 Quick Pitch Competition hosted by the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship on November 7. Interested? Click the registration link! https://lnkd.in/gwbud6iq The 3-2-1 Quick Pitch Competition is a yearly event where students can showcase their entrepreneurial, communication and presentation skills through a short “quick pitch” proposal for a new business venture. Competitors will have 3 minutes 2 pitch 1 idea. A panel of entrepreneurial-minded experts will judge proposals and give students valuable feedback. Students will be able to develop their ideas and network with other students, successful entrepreneurs and community leaders. Registration closes tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29, at noon!

On Wednesday, November 6, Nebraska Innovation Studio and NUtech Ventures are hosting a robotics speaker series, prototyping prosthetics with Jason Dean. The event will be held at the Nebraska Innovation Campus in the innovation studio from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The Robotics Speakers Series (RSS) is designed to bring together the brightest minds in robotics with the unique technical capabilities Nebraska Innovation Studio and its members have to offer. The Activator is a FREE “pre-accelerator” program that teaches academic trainees how to spin ideas from academic labs into biotech startups. During the Activator, teams are coached through workshops on topics such as Market Analysis, Regulatory Strategy, Strategic Fundraising, etc. They are paired with industry mentors who give feedback on their progress.    Over the past two cycles, the teams involved in our programming have demonstrated impressive progress in developing their ideas into viable biotech startups.
